The Ravens Rise Student Emergency Fund is available to assist in unexpected financial situations.

What Can the Fund Cover?

Eligible students may receive financial assistance for urgent needs such as:
  • Transportation
  • Household Costs (rent, utilities, etc...)
  • Food
  • Childcare
  • Healthcare prescription medication
  • Vision correction
  • Other related challenges that prevent academic success
Please note: Tuition and Books are not covered by this fund. Reach out to FinAid@sjcd.edu for assistance with this.

Apply in Three Steps

Emergency awards are available in fall, spring, and summer semesters, but are limited to one per semester. Most awards are limited to a maximum of $500.

  1. Check Your Eligibility

    To be eligible for emergency assistance, you need to be enrolled in an academic or workforce program at any San Jacinto College campus.

  2. Complete the Application

    Once you've determined that you're eligible for emergency assistance, please complete the Emergency Aid Application.

  3. Update Your BankMobile Information

    Make sure your BankMobile information is accurate and up to date to avoid any delay in approved payments.

Once you've submitted your application, please wait for the committee to review your application. The committee’s decision will be sent to your San Jacinto College email. We will make every effort to have a decision regarding the request within 1-3 business days. All application decisions are final. If applicable, complete any additional steps outlined in the decision email.
