What You’ll Learn
Instrumentation Technology training at San Jacinto College falls into three categories:
instrumentation installation, general instrument maintenance, and control systems
technology. Your program will cover all three topics in varying levels of depth.

Access World-Class Training Facilities
A 151,000-square-foot instructional complex with a separate process training unit,
the LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, & Technology (CPET) was designed
by industry, for industry. Our students can expect to learn with industry-standard
technology and tools.
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Lab
We have a 10-station Allen Bradley (AB Compact Logix) Programmable Logic Controller
(PLC) lab.
Digital Control System (DCS) Lab
We have a 10-station Emerson Process Management DeltaV™ Distributed Control System
(DCS) lab with ten fully operational flowing process instrumented stations.
Emerson Instrumentation Labs
We have 16 Emerson Performance Learning Platforms (PLP). These consist of Rosemount
SMART Transmitters Coriolis, Mag Meters, and Vortex Meters for flow.
