Get ready, future Ravens! New Student Orientation is your gateway to everything San Jac has to offer. You’ll discover helpful resources and set yourself up for success. It’s required for all new students, so don’t wait—complete it soon and move one step closer to signing up for classes!
The Raven Adventure
The Raven Adventure is a fun and welcoming event designed for new San Jac students who have registered for classes and will be attending San Jacinto College for the first time. This experience helps students start their college journey with confidence by connecting them with people, resources, and a sense of community before classes even begin.

Each campus has a student services lab where our staff will help new students complete their onboarding items. Our student services labs have student ambassadors that will be able to help make your transition to college smooth. Below are a few of the items they can assist with:
- Completing an application to San Jacinto College
- Signing up for New Student Orientation
- Registering for classes through SOS
- How to navigate Blackboard
- Setting up and using your San Jac student email
- Scheduling Advising Appointments
- Printing your school schedule
- Completing the TSI pre‑assessment requirement

Parent Orientation helps families understand college expectations, campus resources, and how to support their student’s success while encouraging independence.
